I’m still caught in the moment by this romantic, dreamy and effortlessly contrasted shoot by Russian photographer Anna Pavlova. The most inspirational aspect of this shoot is the classic masculine verses feminine portrayal of the bride and groom. Her barely-there pure white luxe boudoir style matched with his cool-cut, strong, tattooed edge creates powerful imagery, enhanced by Anna’s bold and atmospheric artistic attributes. The industrial style space with bare bricks and rustic hardwood décor sets the perfect backdrop for this beautiful pair and I can barely take my eyes off her soft silhouette in the demure linen gown by Mandarini.
masculine and strong paired with soft demure femininity
For the photoshoot we chose a wonderful location – a spacious loft in Famous Studios. It’s decorated very minimally throughout with lots of candles and greenery. The space is stylish, simple and very beautiful.
I love shooting with animals. It’s really great when a couple takes a dog or cat to the wedding! Animals are always especially charming and create very touching, lively and emotional wedding photos. With this particular shoot I wanted to show the simplicity and grandeur of the loft style location. The brick walls, soft colours and abundance of candles, created a sleek and beautiful story. The unique cosy atmosphere within the space warms you even in the cold.
In this particular love story, I like the contrast between the bride and groom. On one note we have brutal, masculine Herman and on the other, gentle, touching Vick with her soft and stunning boudoir look. Meeting these two was very touching and emotional. Despite the fact that the shoot took place entirely in the Studio, the guys wanted pictures of them putting on the rings, and for the area to be captured very beautifully. Many candles and a retro garland created a unique warm glow that enhanced the warmth of the love story itself.
The exchange of rings was followed by a small photo shoot and the cutting of the delicious wedding cake. A huge thank you to Herman and Vick for this bright, stylish and interesting shoot!
