One thing that is definitely going to make an appearance at our festival wedding is bunting!! I love it! Cheap and cheerful – certainly the way forward for a money conscious bride to be.

Whether your theme is vintage, festival, shabby-chic or village-fete, bunting brings that relaxed free spirited vibe to your big day and makes a lovely alternative to big flower displays which can take a huge bite out of your budget.

Hang from the ceiling of your marquee/reception room to add a splash of colour; mix and match with pom poms and paper lanterns; attach to trees and buildings; hang to ceremony chairs or along the aisle; or even make mini bunting flags and incorporate into your table plan or centerpieces.

For our wedding I have a feeling I might go bunting mad as I want to do all of the above! However, simple and subtle is better as the below images illustrate – I just have to rein in my enthusiasm!
