Morning All! How are we? Hope you are all having a good week so far. I am sure lots of you will be getting married over the next month or so, maybe even as soon as this weekend, so are probably in the last stages of your planning and are feeling those pre-wedding jitters! If you are then remember to try and enjoy this time. The last planning stage and the wedding day itself will be over in a blink of an eye so lap them up as much as you can. We’re so excited for you all! Getting married ROCKS!

We have a beautiful engagement shoot to share with you today, captured on the grounds of a stunning Italian farmhouse in Tuscany and featuring the very gorgeous Tasha and Joseph.

Captured by Lelia Scarfiotti on a spring evening when the sun is turning that wonderful tint of gold, this shoot illustrates so beautifully why I love engagement shoots. Not only do you get a chance to build your confidence with your photographer and practice those very important couple shots but you also get some beautiful images to keep – and today’s are very very beautiful.

Look out for Tasha’s stunning wardrobe in this shoot. I need to be getting her pink floral Ulla Johnson ‘Valentine’ Dress – it is so beautiful.

How did you guys meet?

We work in the same industry, back then our paths crossed on many occasions till we couldn’t ignore each other!

Where did you go for your first date?

Cafe Rouge for the simplest of meals in Highgate.

Who proposed and how?

It was Joseph’s birthday and Tasha booked a surprise trip down to Margate with his friends. Driving home after the weekend, we stopped off at Reculver Beach and took a walk on the seafront as it was a sunny day. Joseph asked Tasha to sit on a rock whilst he got down on one knee.

Can you tell us a bit about your plans for your wedding?

We’ve always loved holidaying in the South of France, mainly for the food and wine. After much venue hunting, we settled on a stunning medieval castle Chateau de la Bourlie in the region of Dordogne. It’s owned by an architect, who has added his own modern touches which enhance the traditional exterior.

Tell us about your engagement shoot?

We chose Tuscany so we could visit Slow Flowers– an event Lelia was running with some local florists and flower farms to promote local flowers. After seeing photos of their flower installations from last year’s event, it looked like a unique place to shoot.

The whole event took over Podernovi farmhouse  (also used as a shooting location in one of Tasha’s favourite Bertolucci films ‘Stealing Beauty’)  overlooking the Chianti countryside, nothing but peace and quiet all around apart from atmospheric music playing throughout the house.

Golden hour when the sun drew in was stunning, so we moved into the olive groves to finish the shoot. Joe loves his wine, so we rewarded ourselves with a bottle of Chianti Classico red wine at the Barone Ricasoli castle itself.

Lastly, if you could choose any festival to go to in the world, which on would it be and why?

Tasha wants to get to Restival and also Rise Festival, a lantern festival which takes place in Phoenix. Joe’s been working with the team at Green Man Festival for the last two years so the Black Mountains in Wales will always hold a very special place in his heart.
