Now its no secret that we are a bit of a fan of the outdoor boho luxe look that has been trending in the wedding scene for the last few years. Anyone who follows our Instagram feed will know it is full of this type of wedding inspiration. Modern, chic and stripped back, boho luxe is all about using simple ideas to create an elegant yet bohemian wedding look. Colours such as white and green feature heavily, usually in the textiles, greenery and flowers used, with subtle hints of gold and bronze added in the decor. It is a wedding trend that exuberates elegance but still works so well at an outdoor wedding – as today’s shoot shows!
Put together by Boutique Marquees to showcase how their marquees can be dressed for a wedding and the different decor packages they offer, today’s shoot captures boho luxe brilliantly. We love the greenery chandelier that hangs above the table, the hints of gold found on the crockery and the pink blossom pinned to the walls. It’s full of some great ideas on how to transform a white marquee into a memorable space.
Clare, the owners of Boutique Marquees, talks us though the shoot and all the wonderful suppliers involved.
Rustic & Chic….
Our aim was to capture some beautiful images to showcase our marquee décor packages and we had a fantastic time working with some amazing suppliers!
We wanted a rustic and chic feel to the shoot, and chose a greenery theme, with white and gold accents. The table was adorned with a beautiful faux greenery garland and chunky brass candlesticks, whilst white and gold china and gold cutlery really added to the chic vibe. We wanted the greenery theme to be echoed in all aspects of the shoot and the stationery in shades of white, gold and green really helped to tie it all together.
Modern & Fresh….
Wooden cross back chairs and rustic wooden trestle tables perfectly complimented the greenery theme. They form an integral part of our Rustic Chic themed marquee décor packages, so it was important to us to capture as many images as possible showcasing this stunning furniture.
The cake, which went above and beyond in meeting the brief, looked modern and fresh sitting with grey candles and a simple white and green bouquet.
Fairy lights twinkled alongside festoon lighting and a rustic chandelier, dressed with more faux greenery, created a warm and romantic atmosphere…perfect for a cold February afternoon!
A vintage dressing table was selected for the dessert table with a vast array of cascading, fragrant sweet treats (which made it very difficult to focus on the task in hand!)
Bow tie favours added a touch of whimsy and helped complete the look.
