Happy Wednesday Guys!
First of all – how amazing is this mini heat wave we’re having!? 23 degrees today – blimey!
Second of all – how amazing is this Festival Inspired Shoot!? I almost jumped for joy when I came across this little beauty from US photographer Carmen Salazar a few months ago.
I’m uber excited about sharing it on Festival Brides!
Carmen Salazar, the eyes, ears and brains behind the shoot, filled me in on the reasons why she wanted to create her very own little WedFest:
“The back story on this shoot is that I (Carmen – the lovely photographer) ran off and eloped with my husband in 2009. Before eloping though…I had planned out in my mind the type of wedding I thought we’d put together for ourselves. My husband is a musician and a big part of our lives obviously involves music and summer music festivals. The vision for this shoot was to create a wedding in the fashion of a casual intimate summer music festival including all of the sugary yummies that you’d find at a festival – because I’m a sugar addict that enjoys festivals for the sheer sugar delight!
Our elopement in 2009 at the City Hall in San Francisco was followed by us running over to our favorite music festival, Hardly Strictly in Golden Gate Park and having our first dance to Lyle Lovett performing “If I had a boat” live. While it was no Wed Fest…it was still pretty awesome!”
Sounds like the perfect wedding to me Carmen – just the two of you doing the things you love.
Enjoy this fab shoot – its full of yummy festival inspiration!
