Hello, my name is Lauren Magovern.. I have been invited to this gorgeous, creative blog to share with you all my own wedding journey.
I am a wedding planner and stylist based in the Cotswolds. My business is Ladyamy Bespoke Wedding Design. I specialise in beautiful bespoke weddings, for couple who require unique, bespoke and creative design for their day.
I love my job so much, it is a true honour to be hired to assist couples with their special day, making sure it is how they have always dreamt and stress free.. Especially weddings in the Cotswolds. It really is a beautiful part of the world.
I am getting married in less than 6 months now, eeek!! It has come around so quickly.. Having had a uber busy summer what with our baby number 2, Bruno Felix, moving house and the 28 weddings I was part of this year, the planning of my 3rd styling photo shoot and planning our first wedding fair, Love and Lace for the late winter, so our wedding has had little focus…
I have decided to take the winter months off work, to focus on Mumma-hood and to bring all our wedding plans together. We get married on April 27th 2013, in the heart of the Cotswolds, on a working farm. It is going to be extremely magical, bohemian and informal..
I have broken our wedding journey down into 5 parts, so you can keep up to date and follow our plans from the start to the end, over the next 5 months.
Today I wanted to share with you our beautiful and extremely romantic engagement last year….
We visit my Grandma in Cornwall a few times a year, it is a great escape from long hours, as a mini break for the family. Marazion, near Penzance has become one of our favourite places in the country to escape too. It is peaceful and calm, with such incredible views across the sea.
Noah loves to walks, sea, sand and rock pools.. Marazion faces St Michaels mount, which occasionally in the evening is flood lit, with this stunning golden glow.
On the evening of 8th August 2011 we went for a lovely evening walk together. With Grandma babysitting the tiddler (Noah), we were free to walk, chat and possibly go for a cheeky drink. (These things don’t happen often with us, due to being parent and both having such unsociable working hours hee hee)
So off we went.. An evening to ourselves, bliss. It was a beautiful evening, clear sky and crisp air. The beach was only lit with the moon and reflection from the stars, so we slowly walked the beach and crossed the rickety pathway to the mount. Where my amazing fiancé proposed with a fricken awesome sapphire stone, which is hugged by 14 little diamonds.. It was so romantic, listening to the waves crashing, the star twinkle and not a single other person around us. Perfect!
So the wedding planning, finally begins…
Next month I shall be sharing my very own wedding inspiration board, along with all our wedding inspiration, personal touches and styling tips
