Morning everyone.. hope you all had a suitably fabulous weekend in the sun!! All change this week, but I’m not giving up on Summer just yet…
This week we will be sharing all the looks from our festival styled wedding shoot – Meadowfest!! The concept of the shoot was to showcase various styling ideas for festival weddings; from a hippy Woodstock feel to a more colourful and vibrant theme. There are so many ways festival elements can be incorporated into your wedding look and styling so we hope to inspire you, our readers with some true festival inspiration (without the mud)!
The shoot finally took place (after being cancelled twice before, due to rain) at the end of July on a sunny but windy day in Kent. Our venue of choice was The House Meadow in Biddenden, the most beautiful location for a festival wedding!! Our photographer for the day was Kirsten Mavric and her handy assistant Max (her super duper little boy, who was such a joy to be around all day long!) Jennifer Sue Weddings styled her heart out, decorating various areas of the venue with streamers, straw bales, tents and props, whilst Katherine from Florist in the Forest followed her around filling jugs, silverware and glasses with her beautiful wild seasonal flowers.
Our three stunning models were beautifully face painted and braided by the fabulous Lucy Jayne Make-up, assisted by Chhimmi Gurung. They were dressed in stunning gowns from Frou Frou Bride, which included dresses from Sarah Seven, Ivy and Aster and Matthew Williamson. There are so many more suppliers to be mentioned throughout the week, but this is just the start of such a fab creative team!!
Today we start with Look 1, which focuses on hippy and laid back styling for a festival wedding – Step back in time and follow our red headed bride through the wild flower meadow. Bare foot and free she wears fresh flowers in her hair as she softly floats through the poppies and long grass…………
