Happy Monday lovely people!

Hope you all had a good weekend?

I’m off to Birmingham tomorrow night to see Muse at the LG Arena and I can’t bleedin wait! I’ve seen them twice already, once at Glastonbury and once at Wembley and they absolutely ROCKED so I’m just getting slightly excited……….you know just a tad! Eek!

So to get me in the mood, today’s choice for an alternative first dance love song has to be Muse’s version of Feeling Good.

Originally sung by the amazing Nina Simone, Feeling Good is about new beginnings, freedom and looking forward rather than back. Although Muse’s version holds the same meaning, the two songs couldn’t sound more different with Muse using a fusion of rock, classical and electronica genres to breathe new life into the lyrics.

I love it. Its dramatic, atmospheric and Matthew Bellamy’s voice takes the song to a whole new level. It’s no wonder that this version was voted the greatest cover song of all time by NME readers (thanks Wikipedia!)

Enjoy this one peeps – I know I will!

Big Love
