Hope you all had a lovely weekend.
Following on from our post last week on seasonal flowers featuring the expertise of Katherine from Florist In The Forest, (if you missed it please click here or scroll down!) today we bring you the sweet scent of mid spring natural flowers that are at their best in May.
Spring flowers – Early May
May has to be my favourite month of the year as not only does it have 2 bank holiday weekends (best part about it!) but it’s also the month when warmer weather is expected to begin, flowers and trees start to bloom and everyone is excited about the beginning of the summer. Nature bursts into life in May and our landscape is transformed with the most stunning flowers, colours and smells.
The best flowers for mid May are Tulips, Sweet Williams, Peonies and Stocks. Like the flowers featured in Part 1, these flowers grow in an array of bright colours that are perfectly matched to a festival wedding.

Below are some examples of spring bouquet’s and flower decor ideas that Katherine has put together for past weddings. Each bouquet uses spring seasonal flowers that have been featured in Part 1 and Part 2.
