Forget the fuss… Next Year’s wedding trend is set to be simple, free spirited and pared down!! Music to my ears, as wedding detail can be a little overrated!! The last year we have seen weddings full of styled decor and detail, but we will now see the details striped back and more focus on the couple and ceremony.. It won’t be about how much you can fit on your centrepiece or table setting… Now you can focus on minimal detail!! Who else is happy about this trend?? With so much to organise for your wedding day- Surely Less is more !!
Here are our suggestions for a pared down look and feel for your festival wedding….
Use simple straw and hay bales to create seating.. For a more rustic look add planks of wood or tie simple ribbon to wooden benches.
We love simple table settings with nothing more than a plate, knife and fork and some pretty flowers in jam jars or glass bottles!! Make impact and style statements through long trestle tables and mix and match chairs!! We also love the idea of using brown craft paper to style your seating plan.. Just find someone with nice handwriting to sign everyone’s name on the paper.. no need for fancy name place settings!!
Carry on this style with cardboard or craft paper stationary / invites tied up with string and luggage tags.. So simple and very cost effective.
Don’t think for one minute that pared down means black, white and brown.. Colour can still play a huge part in your simple wedding theme.. We love the idea of wrapping bottles in colourful twine to make simple vases and centrepiece designs..
Finally your day is about you and your loved one, not your colour scheme, cake or stationary design.. Focus on beautiful, freepsirited photography that captures your mood and memories.. How you styled your table will mean nothing when you look back on your special day!!
