We have just discovered Knot & Pop and we love them… We fell in love with their stylish and creative themes the moment we saw them

A bit about them

Whether helping couples to tie the knot or celebrate something with the pop of a cork, Knot & Pop use the flair, style and imagination needed to create bespoke events that feel super personal, creative and above all memorable.

Knot & Pop is Claire Knill and Susie Young – a dynamic duo that offer a distinctive creative touch to event scheming and theming as they recognise that everyone, every couple, every occasion is different – therefore every event should be too. Every occasion is an excuse to create a visual narrative that totally represents the hosts of the day. Claire and Susie, as Knot & Pop, have become the go-to-girls for insights, inspiration and the delivery of the kind of events you’d love to go to – and of course, host.

Grounded in scene-setting, Knot & Pop offer and combine full event planning and styling with a hire service, creating a carefully curated mix of props that span from bespoke crafted items to crockery. Couples come to Knot & Pop for bespoke, hand-crafted, meticulously sourced and weaved together events that make big day occasions truly special – creating interest and engaging guests at every step.

Scottish Country Wedding
With the location a family home, the day was to be informal, relaxed and above all fun! The cottage was set in a wild wooded area and gorgeous Scottish countryside so we wanted to add to this, celebrating the great outdoors with a lawn ceremony and mixing a modern colour palette and finishes with a great garden party vibe. Like the city/country couple they are.

Setting the colours to pop regardless of the Scottish weather (a constant worry with the ceremony being on the lawn outdoors!), the palette played through all the details with streamer garland ceremony alcoves, maps to explore the grounds, fortune teller games to get guests mingling and large balloons with circle garlands cascading from the marquee ceiling.

Wild flowers featured in clusters, hung in painted tins to create the escort board, with billy ball stems attached to circular tags forming the place setting. Vintage illustrations of wild flowers also acted as the back-drop to the photo booth, that saw guests get really involved with a table of props to grab and pose with.

KnotandPopFansPaper fans were meticulously folded to add interest to the top table backdrop, with table numbers mirrored in mini paper fans, peeking out from spray painted gold bottles. All manner of vintage bottles and plates were on display to add a personal touch to the celebration, with the mouth-wateringcake table mixing vintage crockery with touches of gold for modernity.

Guests were served canapés after the ceremony with a delicious rustic three course meal to follow, with sausage and mash for late night snacks, served in kraft cups with wooden forks and knives wrapped in bakers twine and napkins stamped in the couple’s initials.

Geo Goodies – Modern Shoot Concept

We wanted to create a theme and scheme that was totally modern, throwing out a few traditional wedding rules, and instead opting for an experimental style and modern sensibility that would be suited to a city wedding.
We decided to go for Geo, taking hexagon and three-dimensional forms, and working with block colour and glimpses of gold to create a sculptural table-scape.
Painted vases showcased considered floral displays that softened the harder lines of the shape-scape. Succulents were placed as favours with scatter confetti and mixed shape frames forming the backdrop.
Garlands dressed geometric chairs, set simply and elegantly against a high gloss white table for clean and contemporary lines.
Sweet treats in complimentary colours continued to play with the element of surprise, whilst invite and stationery suggestions appeared in cut-out card, layered to add contrasts of colour and depth.
