A few weeks ago, under our glamorous bird cage veil feature, we promised all you lovely free-spirited brides to be a post on some more STUNNING and oh so FESTIVAL CHIC hair adornment wedding inspiration.
We’re not talking traditional wedding veils or hair pieces (although there are some lovely ones available with a festival flare) – NO – we’re talking fashion forward headscarf’s and headbands that wouldn’t look out of place wrapped around a beautiful barnet at Glastonbury!
Brought to you by Australian based Couture and Bridal designer Johanna Johnson, these gorgeously cool headpieces infuse festival/boho style with art deco glamour all into one elegantly designed headband/scarf. I absolutely love them!
Each piece of the accessory range is delicately designed bead by bead by Johanna. They are then hand beaded in Swarovski crystals with signature vintage settings, and delicately finished with a range of tulle and silk fastenings. This tulle is mainly suited to ivory or white gowns but can also be styled with various gown colours such as Vintage, Steel, Champagne, Magnolia or Latte as the beading itself is the focus rather than the tulle backing.
I absolutely LOVE the headscarf below – it showcases Johanna’s excellent balance between vintage art deco glamour (the pattern of the beads sewn onto a vintage ‘Juliet cap’ style headband) and boho-chic style – perfect for a free spirited festival bride.
Below are some more headpieces from Johanna Johnson’s extensive vintage inspired accessory range, including some beautiful lace veils based on the 1920’s and 1930’s ‘juliet cap’ style veil – very Kate Moss!
Johanna also designs a STUNNING range of dresses which will make your heart skip a beat when you look at them. They are so beautiful, and despite being way out of my price range, I couldn’t resist sharing with you my two favouries below.
I am a huge fan of vintage lace and the detail in these dresses is just amazing – I want them both!!!
Zepphora Collection – The Lottie
Templar Collection – Florence – just look at the detail at the bottom of the dress………so delicate..
