Happy Tuesday Peeps!

As it’s freezing outside and feels more like Winter than Spring (can you believe parts of the UK are under 20 feet of snow – wowzers!?) we thought we’d share with you a beautiful Winter inspired wedding shoot that’s been sent all the way from Detroit, USA.

The lovely Caryn Noel, a Detroit based wedding photographer who also travels worldwide for weddings, and Annette Rioux of Annette’s Creations brainstormed over coffee one day about how they could collaborate on a styled shoot that would showcase both their passions and talents. After a latte or two, Baby It’s Cold Outside was born….

“I love photography, design, fonts and fashion and Annette loves graphic, floral and prop design. We wondered what it could look like to do a mock wedding collective. What I mean by that, is a shoot that is stylized, works with local vendors and is for the sole purpose of creating something beautiful and inspiring.”

The Inspiration

A vintage winter wedding in the woods

“I love the feel of raw beauty in nature. So, when we were thinking of locations I knew we needed to find a woodland and since it was our winter edition, snow was a must. We paired vintage items (clothing, pipe, sledge and suitcase) with modern items (fusion tights, red socks and tree inspired wedding bands) to mix class and character in the shoot.

Finally, we incorporated DIY designs (handmade save the dates, thank you gifts and boutonnières) in order to personalise it.”

Warning – this shoot may make you want to don a pair of pink tights, borrow your Nan’s fur coat (fake of course), paint your lips dark pink and pose in the snow!

Enjoy x
