I believe there’s a lot of truth in the saying that life is a festival for those who live it with enthusiasm. The lack of it wrinkles the soul.

This was the opening statement in an email sent to me a few weeks ago by the wonderful Dani from Vintage Party Arrangements, a new creative styling and hire company that aims to challenge the ordinary and re-imagine tradition. She got in touch a few weeks ago to share a styled shoot that she hoped would be featured on Festival Brides and after reading that first sentence she completely had my attention. She went on…..

A couple of months ago, some very talented professionals and myself got together and did an exciting photo shoot that I’d like to submit here. We share the same core values and aesthetics with Festival Brides and that’s why I’d love it if you consider our collective efforts being featured on your beautiful blog.

We feature quite a few styled shoots on Festival Brides and I love sharing them because not only do they provide great inspiration and ideas for your wedding, they also showcase the work of awesome suppliers, most of which have probably provided their time for completely free and worked very very hard to pull the shoot together. You can pretty much guarantee that the work ethic and passion of companies and individuals involved in the shoots we feature is second to none and that is why we share them. Planning your wedding is one of the biggest tasks you could undertake so you need to have trust in the suppliers you book. I could tell from the tone of Dani’s email that everyone involved in this shoot worked extremely hard to make it happen. The core of this shoot was also built on the notion that hiring suppliers for your wedding doesn’t have to be expensive and they hoped to illustrate this through the styling.

Look out for the amazing Otaduy dress with its cascading back, the gorgeous jewellery by La Parra Jewels and of course the styling and props provided by Vintage Party Arrangements.

I will leave you the hands of the wonderful Dani….

An Intimate Bohemian Elopement….

The idea behind the shoot was to create an intimate bohemian elopement that could be virtually anywhere in the world and at any time of the year.

Our photographer, Aida Mark Photographydid a brilliant job of capturing the raw romantic feelings between two people who have started their journey together.

We took a road less travelled and decided to explore a palette of subtle earthy tones and delicate textures, something not typically associated with the bohemian notion. We were inspired by Scandinavian design and the idea that….

what matters most is how we choose to live and experience the world around us and how we share it with the people dearest to our hearts.

We used only few carefully selected pieces including custom products like ritual intention sticks to show what can be achieved with very spare means.

Often couples are shy to approach suppliers as they think you need to spend a fortune to be able to afford their services. The reality is that if they get in touch with the right professionals most of us will be happy to offer a variety of options that won’t break the bank as well as helpful advice that can make a wedding day feel so meaningful and personal. We wanted to get that idea across through the styling of our shoot which is set in winter. I know we are approaching the warmer months now so readers may be looking for summer inspiration but I believe that….

every festival bride is a true bohemian spirit who enjoys the outdoors and carries love for all the seasons within her heart at all times.
