About Festival Brides
The Festival Brides.…We are Laura and Kelly and have been friends since we were 12 years old. After becoming engaged (Kelly in 2010 and Laura in 2011) we both experienced the same hold backs in organising and planning our wedding days! Kelly felt lost after viewing venue after venue and saying no to every single one, feeling that everything wedding orientated was conveyor belt. Laura struggled to find a venue in Kent that could cater for the DIY festival style wedding she’d always dreamed of.
After discussing the issues over a glass of wine our free-spirited emotions were set free and Festival Brides was born!
We love festivals, music, performance, travel and we love the experiences that create inspirational memories to last a life time. Most importantly we LOVE weddings and through Festival Brides we hope to showcase all the great things a wedding involves and inspire like minded individuals who are planning the most important day of their lives. We believe in being true to ourselves and believe every wedding should be a representation of who you and your lucky partner’s are.

I wish your website had been up and running when I was planning for my wedding which took place 2nd July 2011. Our fantastic wedding decorator Jennifer Sue of Jennifer Sue weddings http://www.jennifersueweddings.co.uk/ sent me a link to your website and told me that Laura is getting married at the same venue as we did! Hi Monika, so lovely to hear from you and yes I am getting married at Great Higham – can’t wait!!!! I absolutely loved your wedding and it was so nice to see how the venue was used. Everything looked gorgeous and you looked absolutely stunning – I couldn’t help but beam at all your photos as you both just looked so happy. Loved the way you used the dorm room as the girls dorm!
